Emily Ansbacher MSTOM, L.Ac

Emily Ansbacher is a Licensed Acupuncturist, nationally board-certified Chinese Herbalist, and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from the Pacific College of Health and Science, where she received the Kamwo Academic Excellence Award as valedictorian of her graduating class. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University.


With a passion for treating women's reproductive and gynecological health, Emily is dedicated to influencing health trajectories through acupuncture and Chinese medicine, holistic lifestyle practices, and patient education. Her approach is rooted in thousands of years of empirical research and clinical results demonstrating the unique capacity of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to regulate the nervous system and stress response, creating optimal physiological conditions for healing. Inspired by her connection to nature and the principles of Chinese Medicine, Emily encourages patients to align lifestyle practices with the cyclical rhythms of nature to promote sustainable vitality.

During her clinical training, Emily worked in integrative healthcare settings at Columbia University and the Institute for Family Health as well as the Pacific College clinic, where she treated conditions including musculoskeletal pain, women’s reproductive health, menstrual disorders, anxiety and depression, insomnia, digestive and gastro-intestinal disorders, and long-COVID symptoms. She also pursued specialized training in facial acupuncture and applications of Chinese medicine for facial rejuvenation.

As the daughter of a physicist and spiritual aspirant, Emily has held a lifelong interest in bridging the worlds of science and spirituality through Eastern healing traditions. Since first discovering yoga at the age of 16, she has developed a nuanced understanding of biomechanics and movement patterns in over 12 years of teaching therapeutic yoga. Emily's multidisciplinary background allows her to provide comprehensive, personalized care integrating the ancient traditions of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and yoga. She aspires to empower each patient to experience optimal well-being and glimmers of joy.
